All roads lead to Tamworth in January for the annual Country music festival. Each year the largest music festival in the Southern Hemisphere attracts around 50,000 visitors per day. With over 700 artists featured in 2,800 scheduled events across 80 venues and over 600 buskers in Peel Street alone. Pinnacle events being Golden Guitar Awards, Toyota Star Maker, the Cavalcade, Queen of Country Music & ABCRA National Finals.

 With the $220 million redevelopment of the Tamworth Health Service complete; the new multi-level hospital is a hub for clinical service priorities in medical, surgical, paediatrics, maternity, special care nursing, palliative care, operating suites, medical imaging and emergency services. The facility also provides consultancy for outreach and support for chronic and complex disease management across the whole community.  

There are many education options in the Tamworth region with a comprehensive range of government schools, special needs schools, private schools that include boarding facilities and adult education. Tamworth has a proud tradition of providing strong academic programs, delivering high academic sporting and cultural achievements.
